How to use

Application of distempers and emulsions.

Care

Wash immediately after use distemper sets harder than modern paint and can ruin the bristle if left to dry. Cool soapy water for water-based finishes, methylated spirit followed by soap for shellac. Reshape the bristles and hang by the handle. Some natural shedding is normal in the first few uses.
