The shorter 2" bristle gives more control and stiffness than the long version, making it better suited to:

• Rougher, more textured surfaces (brick, stone, heavy render) where stiffer bristles work paint into the texture
• Detail and cutting in around edges, frames, and tighter areas
• Sheltercoat work where you want firmer paint placement

The natural and synthetic bristle blend holds limewash well while reducing brush marks. Pre-dampen the brush before use, apply in loose irregular strokes, and keep a wet edge.

Wash thoroughly in clean water straight after use - limewash is alkaline and shortens the bristle life if left to dry in. Rinse from the ferrule down to the tips, reshape, and hang by the handle hole. Never leave standing in water.

Some natural bristle shedding is normal in the first few uses. The copper ferrule won't rust, which matters for limewash and sheltercoat work.
