Shelf Life
Finish
Mid-sheen with subtle variations in colour and tone. All Rose of Jericho paints are made using powder pigments. Colour and tone variations due to these pigments and differing porosity of surfaces are inevitable. The intention is that our eggshell paints possess the lack of uniformity and charm of traditional oil paints.
Colour
Available in all colours.
Observations
Touch dry in 2 hours in good drying conditions. Allow 18 hours between coats. Ensure adequate ventilation during the drying period. Do not apply in temperatures below 8°C or in damp or humid conditions. Only rarely used for the decorations of walls and ceilings. Use in good natural ventilation and wear protective clothing and equipment.
Preparation
All surfaces should be sound, dry, clean, and free from dirt, oil, grease or other contamination. New woodwork should be primed with an appropriate acrylic wood primer. Existing paintwork in sound condition should be washed down with a warm water detergent solution and abraded. It is recommended that trials be carried out well in advance to ensure that the surface is suitable for application.
Application
Stir gently before use. Water Based Eggshell is best applied by brush. Two coats normally recommended. Thinning is not normally necessary for primed or previously painted surfaces. Where necessary, thin with up to 10% clean water by volume. Coverage. c. 12 m2/litre/coat on smooth surfaces of low porosity. Brushes and equipment should be cleaned with warm soapy water immediately after use.
Availability
