Organic Green is synthetic pigment developed to provide brilliant, clean green tones with excellent colour strength and ease of dispersion. Based principally on phthalocyanine chemistry, these pigments emerged during the twentieth century and rapidly gained popularity owing to their intensity, stability and versatility. Their bright, transparent character allows a wide range of greens to be produced, from fresh foliage shades to deep, saturated tones.

Widely used in decorative coatings and artists' colours, Organic Green pigments are valued for their strong tinting power and compatibility with a variety of paint systems. They are particularly suited to casein paints, distempers and other water-based coatings where vivid, contemporary greens are required.
